Megan McDonald was raised in the culturally diverse, Washington DC Metropolitan area. She was educated in the best county public school system in Silver Spring, Maryland and graduated from University of Maryland, with a Criminal Justice degree. Even in these great educational systems, Megan realized that there was something missing. Where was the information that would actually be of use when she left the classroom?

One of Megan’s vivid high school memories was raising her hand in trigonometry class and asking the question, “Can you please tell me how I will be applying these skills in the real world?” The question was a serious one, and one Megan has found to be a nagging issue in the back of many peoples’ minds as they move through their lives. What was missing was the real-life, practically applicable decision making skills necessary to create a solid future for herself. How important credit scores are, how nutrition and exercise help maintain focus, how to make decisions as a self-employed business owner, how to reach out to community resources to save our planet and ourselves. These questions, coupled with the overall question, “Who can I trust?” has created the SHIELD Association.

Megan’s passion is to provide you with access to people and resources to help you live an educated and empowered life so you can build your successful future!
SHIELD is looking to expand its workshops into businesses. The workshops promote personal growth, which is proven to impact productivity in the workplace. Growth and productivity create a vibrant, healthy, team-oriented work environment! These workshops are FREE! Who do you know? Please contact Megan McDonald.
